How is my net worth calculated?
Understand what goes into your net worth figure and how it updates.
Your net worth is the total value of everything you own minus everything you owe. Avenue calculates it automatically from your connected accounts.
What counts as an asset
- Checking and savings account balances
- Investment and brokerage account values
- Crypto holdings (if Coinbase is connected)
- Real estate market value (if you've added properties)
What counts as a liability
- Credit card balances
- Mortgage balances
- Other loan balances connected through Plaid
Net worth over time
The dashboard chart tracks your net worth at each snapshot point. Snapshots are saved automatically when your accounts sync. You can see trends by week, month, or over your full history.
Why might my net worth look off?
- A bank account is not connected — go to Settings → Connected Accounts.
- Real estate hasn't been added — use the Property Manager on your dashboard.
- Crypto isn't connected — connect Coinbase in Settings.
- An account balance is pending an update from your bank.
