How do I add crypto or real estate to my net worth?
Track Coinbase holdings and real estate equity alongside your other accounts.
Avenue supports two asset types that don't come through Plaid: crypto holdings via Coinbase, and real estate via manual entry.
Connecting Coinbase
- Go to Settings and find the Coinbase section, or look for the Crypto card on your dashboard.
- Click "Connect Coinbase." A new tab opens to Coinbase's OAuth login.
- Sign in to Coinbase and authorize read-only access.
- You'll be redirected back to Avenue. Your holdings sync automatically.
- Use the Sync button in Settings to refresh holdings on demand.
Adding real estate
- On your dashboard, find the Property Manager section.
- Click "Add Property."
- Enter the property address, estimated market value, and current mortgage balance.
- Your equity (value minus mortgage) is added to your net worth immediately.
- Update the value whenever you want to reflect market changes.
How these appear on your dashboard
- Crypto: a dedicated Crypto card in the summary bar showing total USD value, plus a breakdown of holdings by coin.
- Real Estate: a Real Estate Equity card in the summary bar, plus individual properties in the Property Manager.
