How do I connect my bank accounts?
Link your checking, savings, credit cards, and investment accounts through Plaid.
Avenue connects to your bank through Plaid, a secure financial data network used by thousands of apps. Once connected, your account balances and transactions sync automatically.
How to connect
- Go to Settings or your Dashboard and click "Connect Account."
- A Plaid window opens — search for your bank or credit union.
- Enter your online banking credentials directly in Plaid's secure window.
- Select which accounts to share, then confirm.
- Your balances and recent transactions will appear within seconds.

- 401(k) and other retirement accounts
- Mortgages and loans
Connection issues
If your bank appears disconnected or shows stale data, go to Settings → Connected Accounts and click Disconnect, then reconnect. Some banks require periodic re-authentication. Avenue will flag when a reconnect is needed.
