Is my financial data secure?

How Avenue protects your banking credentials and financial information.

Avenue never sees or stores your bank login credentials. All account connections are handled by Plaid, the same infrastructure used by thousands of financial apps.

How Plaid keeps you safe

  • You enter your banking credentials directly in Plaid's encrypted window — Avenue never receives them.
  • Plaid uses read-only access. Avenue cannot move, transfer, or modify any funds.
  • Plaid is SOC 2 Type II certified and used by major financial apps.
  • You can revoke Avenue's access at any time from your bank's connected apps settings.

What Avenue stores

  • Account balances and names (not account numbers)
  • Transaction amounts, dates, and merchant names
  • No SSN, no full account numbers, no routing numbers

Revoking access

You can disconnect any institution at any time from Settings → Connected Accounts. This removes Avenue's access immediately. You can also revoke directly from your bank's website under "Connected Apps" or "Third-Party Access."
